All the Money in the World
Maybe I was lucky enough to have a family, a love one, to be able to go to college again, and was raised well but still, there are some things in life that happens only when the Almighty would allow.
I will never forget this year, especially the month of August, when it all happened.
Somebody would probably lost their house, their money, someone would probably die or all the unluckiest things could actually happen in a day., somebody could be on her wedding or having a good time, or even crying or sleeping-- but when it happened to us, to me, it was already happening and that we had no other way to stop. Like a disease it happened to quickly without notice.
Wonder why I haven't posted some here?
I was busy chewing what have just happened-- all these time.
Since I am more than happy to tell you the truth, I'd also be happy to take some time to think. To be able to think better and to be able to tell you all what happened accurately and precise, I have had my unnoticeable hiatus.
Anyway, semestral break is already approaching and its already September.
I would love to have a vacation somewhere..
Oh, let's go back to my confession..
It was Saturday when it all happened, August 2, I just got home and was so mad to have this, this certain wood for a wood work project in my Art Appreciation subject. We need to pass it by next Wednesday and I am running out of time. So I waited for Richard to come to our house because I'll request for him to look for a wood somewhere. It happened that typhoon Glenda had just swept the whole Metro Manila with her super storm and there are many available lumber bigger than you could think of inside our subdivision. I was hoping he could snatch some. He he.. All I need was a little, not bigger than a notebook, so I could sculpt something out of it.
But when he got home, neither a lumber nor a wood was with him-- but something that eventually changed our lives.
I can't really say or write it here, but I was already honest enough to give you a hint.
And so it started with my project, wherein I received my lowest grade ever.
I wasn't able to pass a wood work better than a scratched image of a flower in a ply board.
Imagine how it looked like-- a crap.. But..
Because of that project:
We had moved again for the nth time into a four-bedroom 2-storey house four times bigger than the last..
I have paid my tuition fee for this semester and also some accountables that were needed to be paid..
I have checked some of my bucket list!
Bought some gadgets that was never been in my vocabulary..
Bought a LOT of books I could never buy in my last life.. (I, in fact bought more books someone couldn't actually read in a year..)
And recently, bought a motorcycle that costs 5 figures.
And so on and so forth..
The lists goes on and on..
It was like.. OMG.
I was able to use an oil pastel for my sketches this time!
But then again, there are things that cannot be changed. Like me and my endless worries..
I learned that when you don't have any, there is nothing to worry. But when you have everything, you tend to forget to do the most important things to do and problem is everywhere-- everywhre you look, you only see the worst.
To summarize these, all I could say is that I thank our Almighty one for giving me this kind of blessing I could never imagine before and that I miss every thing that we have before. Though I could nver turn it back, I will always remember myself being the one who doesn't have any, who knows how to be content in small things and know how to be happy.. My former self who was alwasy positive, always loveable, always hard working, always smiling, always dreaming. I miss that in me.. No other material thing could ever make me happier than dreaming of living in that time.
And I thank Richard for giving me all the luck.. It was given to us like it is only made for us.
